PE & Sports funding
Government Sports Funding:
The funding which is provided must be used for improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for primary school pupils, so that they are encouraged to develop healthy lifestyles.
Schools can choose how they use the funding, which for this school is £16,000 plus £10 per pupil for 2022 - 23.
This school has chosen to use the funding in various ways including:
- buying into the PE services of Tarporley High School, to increase and extend the PE experiences for all ages of pupils across the school.
- using the funding to improve the PE resources in school and for the extra-curricular sporting activities which the school hosts.
- providing specialist PE coaches who work with pupils across the school.
- funding staff training and development in PE and Sport.
- providing the chance to compete against children at the same/higher level and age related competition for children in a wide range of different sporting activities.
- improving skills through access to specialist coaches.

- creating positive attitudes to all sports and a sense of fair play and sportsmanship for all pupils.
