week ending 30.4.21

This week we started working on our new topic of growing. We have planted sunflower and pea seeds. We made sure that we watered them and talked about what seeds need to grow.

We started reading The Extraordinary Gardener and had a lovely time talking about pictures in the book. Reception children write some semtemces too. We have spent time this week finding out about different sorts of houses and talking about the houses we live in.

At Forest School we found out about woodlice. we searched for woodlice under the logs, pretended to be woodlice and also made some woodlice with clay and sticks. It was lots of fun.

We have also worked hard on our numbers and counting. It's been a busy week!
