It was lovely to meet our new Nursery children on Monday afternoon and half of the Reception group enjoyed their trip to Class 1. The other half are looking forward to their visit on Monday next week.

This week we have read the book The Blue Balloon by Mick Inkpen. We painted our own magical balloons, putting very careful patterns on them. Then we talked about where our magical balloon might take us. Reception children wrote some great sentences about where they would go - they are on the wall in the cloakroom.

We had a lot of fun playing with balloons. We blew them up and let them fly round the room - we have all learnt a lot about how the air makes them move. We also watched & talked about Mrs Knight's balloon powered car - it went really fast especially when the balloon was really big! We also made a lot of strange noises with the balloons that really made us laugh!

We have finished making the fire station in the garden and have put out lots of fires!
