Week ending 24.1.25

This week we have worked on mass and capacity. We used the scales to find out what was heavy and light. We also went outside and made balances with the blocks and crates. We used the language of measure. We also worked on capacity and used the language full and empty. We also used a tally to find out how many cups of rice filled the pot.

We have worked on our book The Star in the Jar and have written lots of sentences. When we went to the woods we had a treasure hunt. We split into 2 teams - 1 team hid the treasure and the other team hunted, then we swopped over. We made a tally of the treasure pieces that we found.

We have also talked about who the special people are in school and why. We have also made a great road and built lots of buildings in our town.
