week ending 19/5/17

This week Reception have worked hard learning about halving and also cutting things into quarters. We have made playdough biscuits to cut up and then had some delicious pizza and pancakes which we cut into pieces. Some Reception had to really thimk hard about how to cut the pancakes to share in a small group.

Nursery have worked on using the language of subtraction and have done a lot of counting and number work.

We have learnt about one of Jesus's miracles and talked about the picnic when he fed 5000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves. We have made a lovely display and wrote some sentences.

We have continued to print flowers with our pizza bases - they look great on the end wall.

Well done to the Reception footballers who played in the Reception tournament at the high school. They played really well despite the rain!
