Week ending 18.9.20

This week we have read and based our work on the book ‘Wow said the Owl’. We have learnt a little bit about owls and a lot about our favourite colours. We have learnt how to make pink, green and orange by mixing paint - yesterday we had a magical afternoon. We went outside to look at the different shapes of the leaves and then mixed blue and yellow which made green! We also used sponges to mix red and yellow to make orange - it was amazing to see the paint changing colour!

We have counted and looked at different shapes. Reception have continued to work on s a t p i and are doing really well. Today they are bringing their first reading books home and all the Reception children are very excited! Nursery have played with different sounds and are listening carefully to stories and singing together. We have all worked on our pencil and brush control making patterns and forming letters and writing our names.
