Week ending 12.1.24

This week has been an exciting one as we have been playing in our new castle role play which we will use this term while we are reading lots of fairy stories. We have had a lovely time dressing up and telling stories togehter. 

Alongside the story work, we have focussed on phonics and have have all written about The Gingerbread Man. Nursery have mark made and read back their stories. Reception did an amazing job of using their phonics to write simple sentences.

We have also done a lot of work about numbers that make 5, recognising different number arrays without counting and also 1 more and 1 less. We used the numicam to recognise numbers and also practiced our fine motor skills weaving in and out of the holes.

In our garden we enjoyed our new blackboard table top that sits on the tractor tyre.
