Hello Nursery and Reception 🙂

Hello everyone. I hope you are all safe, well and ate lots of chocolate at Easter! I am putting some more work and activity ideas on the Nursery and Reception pages. As I said before please do as much as you are able to, it is a difficult time for us all and I appreciate that if you are working from home as well it’s difficul to fit everything in. 

I wanted to share something with you that we have been doing over the past couple of weeks. I thought it might be lovely if you tried it too and we can share what we have done together when we get back to school. My boys and I have been working our way through the alphabet focussing on a letter each day. We have tried to do something that starts with that letter on each day, for example on Aa we made bows and arrows and did archery in the garden - it was very homemade archery with a cardboard target attached to the swing ball! The activities don’t have to be anything fancy - we made banana buns for Bb, cards for Cc, made pizza for Pp and did exercise for Ee. We’ve had fun though and I think we all need to have some of that at the moment! It’s also a good way to do some phonics - you can make up some silly alliterative sentences or just collect objects that start with the particular letter you are on.
