Greek theatre masks

Date: 4th Mar 2016 @ 7:02pm

As part of their study of Ancient Greece, the children have been making model theatre masks.  Much of the origins of today's theatre is owed to the Greeks, who performed their plays in open air theatres.

Actors wore masks to depict the feelings of the characters, and the children designed their own masks, using only paper. They added dimension to their masks by using strips of paper, sometimes curling them for beards or hair.

Can you tell who is behind the masks?
