Chester Cathedral

The visit to Chester Cathedral on Thursday was a great day. The children were certainly stunned by the size and grandeur of the cathedral, both inside and out. The stained glass windows were a favourite aspect, and they learned a great deal about monastic life, the parts of the cathedral, and they also saw real misericords which they have been drawing in class.
The two workshops which they took part in were about prayer and making a clay misericord. They really enjoyed themselves and we received positive comments about how well-behaved they were. Thank you to Mr. Lightfoot, Class Four's governor, who came along and accompanied us on the visit.
