Castleton

A fantastic start to the trip! Weather has been kind so far - even saw a little sunshine!

We all had a lovely walk down into Castleton and up beyond Peveril Castle, where we did some sketching.  All enjoyed the walk and have settled down well to bed tonight after a delicious meal, and some great activities provided by the YHA staff this evening.

Long walk along the Hope Valley tomorrow and the excitement of Treak Cliff Cavern to look forward to tomorrow!

Tuesday: Wow! How muddy can you get!  The recent rain really made the paths and fields muddy, so be prepared for a lot of washing! Those with waterproof boots did well!  Everyone kept walking with no complaints and really enjoyed the day, especially Treak Cliff Cavern.  Hopefully, they'll all sleep well tonight!
