African patterns

Over this term, as part of our study of the ancient civilisation of Benin in West Africa, we have been looking at traditional Yoruba printing patterns.

After studying the different types of patterns, children made their own printing blocks, and made prints on paper and fabric.  They came up with some great ideas!
