African art

This term's topic in Class Four is the ancient kingdom of Benin (in West Africa).  Children have created designs for maps of Africa, using black pens and thinking of light and dark contrasts.

They have also researched African animals and created pencil drawings of their animals, with detailed pencil shading techniques. They are on display outside the school office if you would like to see them.
