Homework

Literacy / Topic homework should be completed each week, unless a longer period is given.  It should be handed in each Monday morning.

Maths homework will be given out on Mondays and needs to be handed in by the Friday of the same week.

Children should aim to spend about 45 minutes on their work (although they can spend more if they wish!)  Work should be completed to the same standard as work in school, written in ink.  It may be used for display purposes in class but will also be added to their school books. Please do not use felt tip pens.

In Years Five and Six, children should be aiming to become more independent with their homework, as the time will soon be here for them to move on to high school.  Completing their work independently enables them to take responsibility for their work, makes them accountable for their own learning and gives them confidence when they complete work well.  Reward stickers are given to them when they work well.
