Week ending 1.3.19

Date: 1st Mar 2019 @ 1:16pm

This week we have read Jack and the Beanstalk. We have acted out the story and written our own sentences about what happens in the story. In the garden we built the Giant’s castle. It had battlements, windows and a moat! We have all done some beanstalk maths. Nursery counted and wrote numbers on their beanstalk and Reception worked out some addition questions and placed Jack on the leaf with the right answer.

Yesterday we planted magic beans - we’re waiting to see what will be at the top of our beanstalks! We talked about what the beans need to grow.

Instead  of going to the woods yesterday, because it poured down, we went for a Spring walk. We looked for signs of spring like leaf buds, daffodils, crocus, snowdrops and catkins. When we came back into school we used chalk pastels to draw catkins and daffodils. Today we have used paint to paint grape hyacinths and more daffodils. We have had a lovely week!
