Science Week

Date: 20th Mar 2017 @ 9:02pm

What a busy science week we have had.  The children throughout school have had a wonderful time working with their class teachers and the various visitors we have had over the week.  It has been fantastic to see children of all ages working together to create our bug hotels and bat houses.

The children took part in a variety of activities from working with the Wildlife Trust and handling newts to physics workshops and working with a chemist in a variety of activities.  The dogs trust came in to help Key Stage 2 understand the evolution of dogs and Key Stage one got to find out all about their senses.  Class 1 and Class 2 were even lucky enough to look at rockpool creatures and observed a starfish eating.   Even the parents got the opportunity to watch a science show.

In additon to the workshops, there has been lots of activity going on in the classes.  Treetops learnt all about the body and healthy eating, Class1 made snot, Class 2 looked at the skeleton and made models, Class 3 have been finding out about digestoin and the gruesome way it was discovered and Class 4 have been building upon their rainforest topicand looking at classification.

Have a look at the pictures below that show just how fun we all had.
