Visit to the Liverpool Philharmonic

Classes Three and Four had the fantastic opportunity to visit the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra today, and took part in their programme of 'Musical Revolution'. This is a programme specifically designed for children in Key Stage Two, and aimed to demonstrate how a variety of different musicians and composers have influenced musical development.

The children also had to learn a song before they went: the poem 'The Sound Collector' by Roger McGough, which had been put to music.  That was a great experience, singing with all the other schools there, and singng with the orchestra.

We also benfited from having lunch in the park on a beautiful, sunny, spring day!
