Week ending 5.10.18

Date: 5th Oct 2018 @ 1:23pm

This week has been fun! We have found out about spiders because last week we found a really big one in our brick box and a huge one on a web in the garden. We have found out and written spider facts, had a spider hunt in our garden and made lots of webs. We have woven webs on some bike wheels and used some string to make web patterns. They look great! At Forest School we used a hand drill to make holes in conkers and then made conker spiders as well as conker necklaces. We have done lots of activities to develop our motor control.

We have used conkers a lot this week. We used them with the Numicon to work on counting, numeral recognition and simple addition.

Reception have worked on ck e u r in phonics.
