Week ending 22/5/15

Date: 22nd May 2015 @ 1:45pm

This week has been great! We went to the ice cream farm on Tuesday and had a lot of fun in the play barn and then had a treat when we ate our favourite flavour ice creams.

We have had a go at using timers and had a competition to see who could thread the most beads before the timer ran out. We did a lot of estimating and counting.

On Thursday Tess Hardsmith (Rose's mummy) came and talked to us about newts. She and Rose brought some newts out of our pond and we looked at them and learnt all about where they live and what they like eating. We looked carefully at some very well camouflaged caddis fly larvae and watched and waited for them to appear. It was fascinating.

We have also spent a lot of time in the garden and in the sensory garden playing a colour game. We found different green things and then talked about all the different shades of green. We did the same with lots of other colours.
