Week ending 11.10.19

We have worked on size and measuring this week. We have measured children to see who is the tallest and we have also measured with non standard units. We measured things in our classroom with the Gruffalo and the mouse. We made sure that there were no gaps between the characters and that we started at the end of the object we were measuring. We worked very hard!

Reception are working hard to blend and segment cvc words and have also worked hard on their letter formation.

In the woods this week we made houses for the mouse. We made houses for the Gruffalo earlier in the week - we planned them and made them in the garden. We collected acorns, leaves, tiny sticks, feathers, grass and flowers to make out houses. They were very cosy!
