Trilobites!

Date: 14th Oct 2015 @ 7:11pm

Inspired by our trip to Shrewsbury and the session examining fossils, we decided to make some trilobite fossils of our own today.

Using air-drying clay, the children shaped the clay into fossil sized pieces, then moulded it to make the shape they had chosen for their trilobite.  Using clay tools, they marked the clay to indicate the type of trilobite, where its eyes and other body parts were.  it will take a few days for the clay to dry thoroughly.

We think they're great and hope you do too.
