Out of this world!

This week, we have begun looking at space, not in science yet, but through our cross-curricular links with Literacy and Art.

The children created their own imaginary 'planets' using our vivid watercolours, using a technique which allowed them to 'bleed' colours into each other to make their own interesting effects.

In Literacy, we discussed the physical attributes of different planets, and after talking about some examples, they wrote their own descriptions of what their planets might look and feel like.

There is a display of their work in the entrance hall if you would like to admire them.
