Hedgehog!

Gardening sometimes brings surprises - and this was one of them!

Thinking there was a pile of dead leaves and grass, I began to clear it away, when suddenly the pile began to move - and underneath, sleeping gently, was - a hedgehog.

Having taken its photo, the leaves and grass were replaced and the little creature was left in peace in the flower bed.
