Blue tit nest

Over the last couple of weeks, we have watched a blue tit nestmaking in our bird box, through the webcam.

From the initial stages of bringing in grass, moss and twigs to the shaping the materials into a soft and cosy nest, she has been a busy little bird!

On the first Monday of the holidays, she laid the first egg and by Friday, there were five.  Last year the bird lay ten eggs, so we will wait and see what happens this year.
